Loving Summer

My humans have been very busy. They leave me alone a couple of days a week now, and I don’t like that. But they take me more places now, too. We went to a park where kids were playing a game with balls and a stick. I had to sit with my humans behind a fence, but Emily was there to pet me. Lily was on the other side of the fence playing with the balls and sticks. I got lots of pets, and I liked being outside.
We rode in the car lots of times, and my humans make sure they roll the windows down for me. There are so many things to smell when we’re riding around like that.
It’s been hot outside a lot of days. Lily and Emily come over and get in the big puddle of water in the backyard. They splash around and make a lot of noise. I don’t like to go down those stairs though, so I stay up on the top near the door. They try to call me down near the water, but I won’t go. My human leaves a bowl of water for me with ice cubes in it. It’s fun to try to get the ice out of the bowl.
